Thinking of getting a Steeltech Shed? Then you probably already know their many benefits:
- Virtually no maintenance required.
- 20-year guarantee.
- Free delivery and assembly.
- Non-drip insulation on inside of roof and four walls.
- Can be built to any dimensions required.
- Choice of colours available.
What you may not know is that it can now be even easier to have a Steeltech Shed erected – because there’s now an alternative to having to first lay a concrete base.
Steeltech have just introduced a new galvanised steel floor option, for garden sheds either 2 metres or 3 metres wide.
This corrugated steel floor consists of strong metal, with a plywood topping. It can be a good option where it is not practical to lay a concrete floor, or where you want to minimise preparations or delay in actually getting your shed.
With the steel floor option, the floor is laid by the same installers as the shed is being built – instead of having to first wait for another contractor to lay a concrete base, and then wait for the concrete to dry out sufficiently.
The steel floor can sit on any level base, such as gravel hardcore, tarmac, existing concrete, or even clay. Another advantage is that the steel floor construction is the same throughout, unlike a wooden shed, which has heavier joists topped with floorboards.
Please note that the steel floor option is for normal, lighter duty, garden shed use only. It is not suitable for heavy loads or vehicular traffic.
